2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 Review

2013 Triumph Bonneville T100

T100. Classic Sixties styling.

Bang up to date engineering. Retro meets modern. Double-barrelled, fuel-injected responsiveness from the 865cc parallel twin. Smooth pulling, double-barrelled fun. A mellow backbeat from the twin peashooter exhausts. Chrome engine covers. Black instrument surround with tacho. Triumph logo on the seat. Two-tone paint. Spoked wheels. Fork gaiters. You got the look.

Motorcycling the way it's meant to be. Ride it with a smile.

The most famous name in motorcycling is as famous today as it was 50 years ago.

Built in the spirit of the all-conquering British twins that ruled the roads in the 1960s, the modern day Bonnevilles uniquely combine up-to-date design and manufacturing methods with traditional styling and attitude.

Whether you prefer the late Seventies look of the agile and accessible Bonneville and Bonneville SE, or the pure 1960s class of the wire-wheeled T100, your Bonneville will be powered by a thoroughly modern and reliable 865cc fuel-injected parallel-twin unit that oozes character and delivers enough go to match the show.

Few bikes attract as much attention as the Bonneville, which is probably why it attracts a wide range of riders that encompasses those who rode the original Meriden Bonnevilles, baby boomers who lusted after them and young riders who appreciate the timeless style and accessibility of a traditional motorcycle.

Bonneville still delivers a unique style and appeal unmatched by any other motorcycle. Enviable glances and engaging chat from passer-bys come as standard.

2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 Features and Benefits

Fuel Efficiency:: 43 MPG City / 57 MPG Highway

Engine: Air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin, 360º firing interval

Exhaust : Stainless steel headers, twin chromed silencers

Seat Height: 775 mm 30.5 in

2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 Key Features

Classic Sixties style wouldn't be complete without spoked wheels or peashooter exhausts that hark back to the very first Bonnevilles of 1959.

Modern disc brakes, suspension and steel cradle frame blend seamlessly into the package and ensure that the T100 is tough enough for today's road conditions. Traditional two-tone colour schemes with hand finished coachlines, or timeless Jet Black alternatives on the black edition, fit the character of the T100 and complete the period look.

Engine
The air-cooled 865cc power plant is a modern design but styled to look like an authentic parallel-twin of the 1960s, right down to the dummy pushrods and 'carburettors' that hide the modern fuel injectors. But beneath the retro looks lies a very current and usable motorcycle that appeals to new and experienced motorcyclists alike. Thumb the electric starter and today's Bonneville / Bonneville T100 comes to life instantly and with the distinctive tone that only a parallel twin can deliver. A healthy 67bhp and 50 ft.lbs of torque
give the modern day Bonneville peppy performance that is at home both in the city and on the open road.

HANDLING
Lightweight 17" cast alloy wheels make the Bonneville agile and easy to ride, while the low 740mm seat height makes it accessible to motorcyclists of all ages and experience.

The Bonneville & Bonneville T100's 41mm front forks and traditional chromed rear shocks provide poised handling and a comfortable ride.

STYLE
Short mudguards and stylish chrome megaphone silencers complete the 1970s look for the Bonneville. While the standard Bonneville delivers an authentic roadster experience, the T100 takes things a stage further with real 1960s' detailing. Peashooter silencers, classic coachlined two-tone paintwork and spoked steel wheels (with a larger 19" front) give the T100 more presence and the sort of kudos only a 'Brit twin' can deliver.
